I like to tell the stories of truly interesting and inspiring people and organisations through the power of a still image or by moving pictures. Having worked for many years in marketing, and through running my own graphic design consultancy since 1995, I am more motivated by producing imagery that is honest and authentic, as well as engaging and nice to look at.

I also like to work with like-minded creative, enthusiastic and values driven people who also want to make a difference in a different way.

I can get REALLY EXCITED by stories with real purpose and commitment; about craft and creativity; about ideas and inspiration; and about making the world a better place.

If you like the sound of all that then let’s talk some more.

Scotland Celebrates Africa was a Singing Event and Workshop held at The Britannia Panopticon Music Hall in Glasgow on Sunday, 25th March 2018. It was hosted by Sing Anyway with Dr V with a very special guest singer, Bruce Ncube from Zimbabwe. All proceeds from the event went to Mema Arts, Zimbabwe and Glasgow’s Spirit Aid Charity. A singing clinic is something your own doctor should prescribe for filling your heart with fun! For a wellbeing check up with Dr V, check out her Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/singanywaywithdrv Thanks to Vincent Jozajtis on 2nd Camera.

Thoroughly recommend this podcast series for lovers of film music and soundtracks. It’s produced with great passion by Edith Bowman, who uses her knowledge of both movies and music to entertain and inform the listener. This one is a MUST for any Bond movie fans, with the banter between Don Black and David Arnold being worthy of the price of admission alone (it’s FREE by the way)

Fantastic stories and Brilliant Bond Banter reveals some stuff I’d never heard before - like John Barry’s ‘direction’ to Shirley Bassey for singing the theme to Diamonds Are Forever 😂 - make this a really entertaining and informative listen 💙🎶🎬

“Where KILL BILL meets a LOCAL HERO” This short film tells the story of a songwriter kicking against the mainstream music machines, someone who dares to question the conventional wisdom of the moguls who control them all. Our ‘hero’ takes a defiant (and somewhat absurd) stance in order to challenge the ‘man in the middle’ who controls what kind of music is heard, how it’s marketed and who gets the most reward from the artists’ work. Plastic Trumpet is the title track from Tom Houston’s 3rd solo album, and the 2nd to be produced by the legendary Neil MacColl, who is also a multi instrumentalist on the 10 song album. Kate St. John joins the duo to add some very tasteful oboe (which plays at being a trumpet) © 2018 Tom Houston Music and Imaginary People Productions The song Plastic Trumpet is available NOW alongside Our Little Cage from Tom’s website. The Album is also available through direct contact with Tom at his solo gigs, davesnewbike gigs and also his website www.tomhouston.org www.davesnewbike.com More detailed info on WHO appears in the film and made the music (with MUCH better picture and sound quality) … https://vimeo.com/265299784 Some TomFoolery Behind The Scenes footage here too … https://vimeo.com/266847186

A brief history of The Britannia Panopticon Music Hall, as told by Judith Bowers. The World's oldest surviving Music Hall was first established in the heart of Glasgow in 1857. Many famous stars of stage and screen – with the household names of Stan Laurel, Cary Grant and Sir Harry Lauder among them – took some of their first steps to worldwide fame here. The Britannia Panopticon received charitable recognition in 1999 and a Trust was established to assist with raising public awareness and to aid fundraising, with the ultimate aim of restoring this unique and valuable auditorium to its former glory (except with proper toilets and electric heating!) Music Hall Memories is just one of the many events that are staged regularly and some brief clips are captured here to stir some fond recollections of The Good Old Days.
