NEW WINE ARRIVING TOMORROW Forrest Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2015 is a stunning Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. It has aromas of zingy gooseberries and grapefruit coupled with tropical fruit. This is followed by full-flavoured, textured palate of elderflower with hints of passion fruit and peaches, with a balanced and long finish. This vintage has a definite flintiness associated with Pouilly Fumé and terrific minerality. It also has that lovely combination of full flavours and elegance. A terrific Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with loads of finesse; it is amazing value. Our experience with Forrest Sauvignon is that it drinks well from 2 years of the vintage and it will continue to develop through to at least four years (i.e. 2019). But why not enjoy it now! John and Brigid Forrest left their medical careers behind when they set up their vineyards and winery in the stony Wairau Valley, quite close to Cloudy Bay. This vintage is drawn from four vineyards located around Renwick in Wairau Rivery Valley. This classic Marlborough terroir is critical in achieving smaller berries and lower yields needed to produce premium Sauvignon Blanc.
