Who loved Ashtanga tonight?! It was so lovely to have such a busy class yet everyone moving with their own breathe and modifying as need be. Our full primary is this Friday! See you then ❤️ 🙏Ashtanga Full Primary Series - 6th September 19.30-21.15🙏 Welcome to our monthly Ashtanga Full Primary Series evening. Each class covers the entire Ashtanga primary series and is designed for students wishing to explore a more detailed approach to alignment or other related structural issues. Key concepts such as breath, bhandas, and drishti will be applied throughout this exploration. This class is suitable for all levels including those who are new to ashtanga. This class will be led by Erica Jaffe. Hers some more information about our Yogalicious teacher- while hiking a 2,650-mile trail from Mexico to Canada, Erica decided that she was ultimately looking for something “more” in life. Her natural conclusion was yoga. Throughout the last few years, Erica has diligently studied Ashtanga - a style of yoga codified and popularized by K. Pattabhi Jois during the 20th century which is often promoted as a modern-day form of classical Indian yoga. Ashtanga means eight limbs or branches, of which asana is merely one branch, breath (or pranayama) is another. Whether teaching classic Ashtanga or creative vinyasa, Erica carries students through the teachings of Ashtanga - placing emphasis on core work and strength in addition to flexibility. Kula Kids Yoga Club Wednesdays 4-4.45 6 Week Course starting 11th September A six week course incorporating yoga, meditation and mindfulness for children age 4-13yrs. We will looking at all the amazing things we can do with our clever bodies! The course is suitable for children who have practiced with us before but also for children who are new to yoga. We will work in a group, in pairs and alone. The feedback from these courses has been excellent and they do tend to book up quickly so please grab your spot early to avoid disappointment. Any questions or for more information please do drop us a note. This course is led by Sally Brocklehurst. Sally is a qualified baby, toddler and children's yoga teacher and registered with Yoga Alliance and Yogakidz Worldwide. She is passionate about providing children with the tools needed to grow into happy, confident and compassionate adults. She also has a BA Honors degree in Early Childhood Studies and am also qualified in Mindfulness, Movement, Meditation and Relaxation. Price: 1x child £40 2x siblings £70

🌟New Teacher Announcement 🌟 Please welcome lovely Sarah Craig to the Yogalicious team. Sarah first discovered yoga while studying in Oxford initially as a way to improve her fitness and support her long-distance running. As well as challenging her body and helping her feel more connected to it, she found the emotional and mental connections most beneficial. It was a great way to relax her mind and let go of any negative feelings. When living in London, Sarah practiced at many studios but found a real love for Power Yoga. She then completed her 200 hour Teacher Training at The Power Yoga Company in Parsons Green (2017). Since the training Sarah has continued to explore and deepen her yoga practice through visiting an Ashram in India and attending retreats abroad. More recently, she has completed an Advanced Anatomy & Yin 90 hour training with Yoga in The Big Smoke (2019). Sarah considers herself both a student and a teacher and will always continue to learn and develop her own practice before teaching others. Sarah now lives in Shropshire and teaches both Power Yoga based on traditional Ashtanga postures and Yin Yoga, which is based on Chinese Medicine. Her classes are physically challenging, while also mentally stimulating through guided breath control and meditation. Sarah wants her students to have fun, experiment and leave feeling more positive and energised. Sarah will be helping to cover some classes over the next few months (the first one is Tuesday 10th September 7.30pm Yin!) and will also be looking after our other lovely Sarah Little’s Thursday night yin class whilst she’s on maternity leave at the end of the year. 🌟4 Spaces left!🌟Beginners Yoga 5 Week Course starts Wednesday - 19.45-21.00 Are you new to yoga and not too sure where to start? Or would you like to just slow down and revisit the basics? Learn yoga in a welcoming and comfortable environment in this course designed for beginners taught by Eileen Wallace (Yogalicious Owner). Please note a couple of weeks will be taught by a substitute teacher (Emily Higgs-Bayliss) as Eileen will be teaching on holiday. In this 5 week course we will discuss basic yoga philosophy, work through healthy alignment of postures, explore pranayama (breathing practices) and finish with relaxation techniques. Each week will have a different focus, throughout the duration of the course you will build strength and flexibility alongside the main principles to ensure a safe, healthy and holistic yoga practice. Discover ways to modify your practice and use props. Class sizes are limited to ensure students receive personal attention from the teacher providing an ideal environment for learning. Experience the joy of yoga and gain the confidence to practice yoga anywhere 🙏 £45 Mats and all equipment are provided, just wear comfortable clothes. It starts at a basic level and everything is explained carefully by the instructor so you have growing confidence that you are getting the positions and breathing right.
