Alhamdulillah by the grace of Allah and with your generous supports, Manarat Foundation's Masjid and Islamic centre renovation works in its final stages. The main prayer hall and community hall 100% completed, Heating and electrical works 100% completed. We have recently bought additional car parking spaces to accommodate more facilities in future. We have only few remaining works left such wudu and wash area for both male and female, tiling and some carpentry work inside the masjid. Welcoming Ramadan: MANARAT FOUNDATION: Alhamdulillah, by the Grace of Allah, the most blessed month of Ramadan has approached us. Ramadan is a season that brings us closer together -both families and as communities throughout the world. Through our inner reflections and increase in generosity toward the needy, we can expect enormous thawab (reward) during this time. Indeed, every single breath we take during this period can count as tasbih (invocation). We pray and hope that this Ramadan brings out the best from us by the way of drawing ever closer to the Almighty. We invite you to experience and take part in the activities of the masjid over the course of this blessed month. TARAWIH The 1st day of Ramadan will be on Saturday the 27th May 2017, therefore Tarawih prayer will take place from Friday night. Please join our renowned Huffaz reciting the whole Qur’an. As Tarawih prayers are held late into the night, we urge everyone to respect our neighbours by keeping the noise down and not congregate outside. If you pray 8 raka’at then it is betterto go home straight away. TAHAJJUD Due to time constraints, as these nights are very short and time between Tarawih and Fajr is only a few hours, there will be no Tahajjud jama'ah held this year at the masjid. I’TIKAF Application forms for I’tikaf are available from the office. Place allocation will be decided after 15th Ramadan. Manchester Attack: Manarat Foundation Statement Following the attack on Manchester Arena last night, Manarat Foundation issued the following statement: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. we understand teenagers and children have been caught up in what the police has confirmed to be a terrorist attack. This is horrific, this is criminal. May the perpetrators face the full weight of justice both in this life and the next. We pay tribute to the police and emergency services who have worked valiantly to save lives last night. They were helped by civilians who rushed into offer their support. We urge all those in the region and around the country to pool together to support those affected.”
