We have all been shocked and saddened at the news from Manchester and of course our thoughts go out to those affected. We are also aware that children hear/see the news, hear conversations between adults and naturally may have questions. Please be calm and honest (age appropriately) with your child if they ask questions. They need to process this tragedy in their own way and make sense of it. They need to be reassured that it is ok to feel sad and sorry for those involved but they can also be reassured that there is a lot of kind and caring people helping those affected. The following link is useful to help us support our children to deal with this terrible act of violence as best we can. https://www.nasponline.org/resources-and-publications/resources/school-safety-and-crisis/war-and-terrorism/helping-children-cope-with-terrorism RIP 😔
You have until end of June to get all your Sainsburys active kids vouchers to us. Please ask friends and family:)
We had a lovely start to the summer term. We welcomed 2 new children to our preschool family, they settled really well. We have been experimenting with different ingredients to make playdough ourselves, this demonstrated lots of problem solving and critical thinking. Lots of fun and lots of learning, we look forward to next week. We hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday weekend :)
Thank you to everyone who attended our Easter fun day yesterday. We had a lovely time and it was so busy, a great turnout and a mass of Easter bonnets were entered into the competition, which was judged by an independent judge. We raised a massive £361.56 ! And that is all profit and will be go straight back into the preschool to benefit the children. I would like to say a massive thank you to Sally Barley, oyr chairperson for organising the event, organising everyone and running the event after a night shift! Thank you to all staff for giving up their own time and to the committee members who donated and helped us out during the event. Thank you to Sarah Tipler for judging our competitions, to Sue Reed for her imagination library input and to Kev for face painting. Photos to follow on Monday when we are back in to tidy up haha :)
Join us for some Easter fun tomorrow 11-2 :)
