Historic Port of Charlestown
Description
Visit us and be immersed in this beautiful, traditional, working harbour.
Step aboard our tall ship and back into the footsteps of a bygone era. The Historic Port of Charlestown offers the unique experience to see what life was like on the sailing ships of a bygone era.
Step on board and explore our trading ketch to learn about cargoes of the past, see what conditions were like for an 18th Century sailor and even pull a rope or two!
Charlestown itself has a rich history, from the bronze age settlements nearby and the importance of maritime trade, right through to the present day as a film set.
