We Can Play a Rainbow
Description
Fun, activity and topic-based play sessions for preschoolers (aged 3-4, but younger siblings welcome). Topics are based loosely on different colours. We provide fun, activity and topic-based play sessions for preschoolers (aged 3-4), loosely using a different colour each month for inspiration.
The sessions are designed to be engaging and relevant to this age group, with many topics incorporating themes close to our hearts – health and keeping safe, cultural awareness, science and nature, and ecological awareness.
Activities related to the topic generally include three table activities;
1. Fact cards and a craft – this is usually a role-play prop for extended use
2. An activity related to a number
3. An activity related to a letter
Children earn a sticker for engaging with an activity from each table. They can stick these in their “Passports” – on a different coloured page each month. We find this is a great way to encourage them!
However, if they’re not up for table activities, that’s totally fine. We also provide a few other toys and activities for general play, such as balls, soft toys, dressing-up, dens, colouring, etc. Oh, and we always have balloons!
Younger siblings are welcome too, and we make every effort to ensure all activities are safe for younger children.
Above all, our aim is to create a stimulating space where children and their parents/carers can share some time together and with others. There is plenty of scope for children to have fun and burn off some energy. Hopefully, they may learn a thing or two too….!

Hop for a Healthy Heart
Come along to We Can Play a Rainbow's play session based around the topic of the heart. It's aimed at nursery school age kids (3-4 year olds), but younger siblings are welcome to attend too. Bring a packed lunch (no nuts please), and then join in the simple table activities to earn stickers in your We Can Play a Rainbow passport before some final free play. No need to book, just turn up. £4.00 per child. Younger siblings aged 0-2 are free. Passports are priced at £1.00. Please like our page for notifications about further events. Hope to see you there!

Penguins and Polar Bears
Welcome to White month. At this month's We Can Play a Rainbow play session, we’re learning and playing around the topic of the Polar Regions. We'll be making compasses to head to the North and South Poles, shaking our ice cube die to see how many paper snow balls to make (we may even have a snow ball fight at the end), and doing some icy experiments. Come along with your 3-4 year old's for some craft and other fun activities with an icy theme (younger siblings welcome). We will have plenty of time for free play, and of course we always have balloons!
