This month Harris Auto Garage celebrates its 1st birthday - who knew that so much could be achieved in a mere 12 months!!! During that time we have seen the business grow from operating out of a small lock up garage in Redbourn to moving to a larger unit in St Albans in the London Road Business Park! We want to thank all our customers, from those who've brought Steve their cars for many years to our more recent but no less appreciated new customers!! Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to keeping you on the road as we begin our second year as an independent business! 😀

We took time off from fixing cars today for our kids' annual school camp out. Steve is manning the bar & Harris Auto Garage is one of the event sponsors and Ali is ....drinking lemonade & attempting to wrangle the kids 😀 We're having a lovely day!!

Today Steve, is working on our friend Andy Horn's Renault Twingo. Andy has been bringing cars to Steve for 15+ years - today his car needs a new timing belt. Also on the cards for today is a new customer, John, who was a referral via a friend. John has a Vauxhall Corsa that requires wiper linkage. On the marketing and social media side Ali is planning some videos and designing some flyers and is also in the process of sorting out some quotes and enquiries for new and repeat customers! Ali spent a lovely hour having coffee and learning about effective use of social media for small businesses from Chris Pike of HeyBurt.co.uk She is totally inspired and is humming with excitement! Hello! If you have school age kids then you are likely to be aware that it's World Book Day today, and hopefully your kids either have costumes for today or, like our kids, whose schools are celebrating late, for tomorrow. Our family's favourite book is Vegetable Glue by Susan Chandler, from which we all can, and often do, recite long passages with great gusto and many guffaws of delighted laughter! If you've never read it, give it a go - who can resist a book that includes literary gems such as the following! "Oh no, I've made a rude sound! My bottom's dropped off and is now on the ground!'
