Help solve the Mystery of the missing Lion's head from the Peathill Kirk. Sometime during 2001, a carving that depicted a two headed lion, which swivelled in the centre of the arch at the back of the Laird's Loft, was stolen by someone. If any one has any information or could return the missing carving the Friends of Pitsligo Castle would be most grateful . It could be sent by post anonymously to 4 Kings Street, Rosehearty and no questions will be asked. We would just like to restore it to it's rightful place on the Laird's Loft. Please see old photos below of carving.

We would like to thank the generous person who gave us an old communion token from the peat hill kirk. Unfortunately we did not get their name so if anyone knows who it is could they pm us on this page.
A big thank you to all who helped and all who visited the kirk for Doors Open Day. We were delighted to have the 3 visitors in the photos, a long time since they saw the Laird's Loft.
