Head slightly fuzzy after a few gins, but well worth it, a brilliant night of live music and money towards a great cause. This breakfast omelette with spinach, mushroom, peppers and onions followed by porridge, granola, Nat yoghurt and blueberries to follow then a long walk in the first sign of spring are a sure fire way to get back to it. As a generalisation my clients biggest problem is the easiest to fix 😬 result! However it’s not a change that clients or people in general look to make 🤔 I personally blame social media, fad diets and fad workout plans as well as people being gullible enough to believe in the quick fix they are reading about. The first thing people tend to do is start an extremely strict diet, cutting out all the things they enjoy, look forward to and gain satisfaction from. We are emotional creatures, taking away those things is a recipe for failure. Don’t get me wrong, control your intake of those none whole foods and drinks, control your sugar intake and alcohol consumption- but don’t deprive yourself of enjoyment- life’s too short for that 😬🥞🌭🍕🍺😬 Instead eat for health and move more 🤔🍎🍉🥦🍕🥒🍋🥔🥞🥕🥑🌽🍺 Yes you are working hard in those PT sessions and those few hours per week at the gym, but this is easily undone by a sedentary lifestyle outside of the gym walls. Think about using your legs as your transport, too far to go? Get a 20/30 min brisk walk in before or after work, on days you consider rest days from the gym, walk for longer. Take the stairs at work/when shopping or use the stairs at home as a tool to get moving for a bit Daily small changes and increases to activity along with a sensible, health focused diet is the key to long term health benefits and fat loss.
