The process will be Cut greens Hollow core to a depth of 60mm on 50x50mm spacing with 12mm tines. Collect all cores using hired core harvester Verti Cut greens to remove any debris Apply between 3-4 tonnes of sand to each green. Dragmat sand to fill all holes Tru-turf iron greens Top up sand to fill holes Set pin and open green To carry out this work all greens will be on temporary greens on Monday and Tuesday. We will open greens as quickly as possible when they are finished. Here are the two machines on hire to help us complete this work.

Its going to be a very busy next 7 days at Batchworth Park. Everyone needs to know we are carrying out major greens maintenance work starting 4pm this Sunday. It will be finished by late Tuesday. I hear cries of why when the greens are so good? It's not because we are evil greenkeepers!! It's because the greens are great because of work periods like this.

We have had a great week on the course. The Course is in great condition and the definition between the long grass and cut areas is fantastic. Its a really great team effort. Please keep using the divot boxes and bags.

We have sprayed all greens today with a liquid fertiliser mix. We have also only got about 10% of bukerd left to strim/edge and weed. It's been a great team effort over the last few weeks to keep on top of the exceptional growth. The course is looking great at the moment.

Just to let everyone know we had 138mm of rainfall in June. In June 2015 we had 11.5!!! So far we have had around 190mm or 7.5" more rain fall this year compared to 2015.

22mm and it's still raining

A little bit of rain only slows BP Greenkeepers a little bit. We had 16mm of rain this morning but still managed to cut all. Fairways Green surrounds 1st rough cut Greens And wuth nearly 70% of the cut rough done. It would be easier if we don't get another 16mm though.
