Pete's been busy in the workshop. If you've got a good frame already it often makes a lot more sense to upgrade, rather than starting from scratch.

Mike's Bikes is Hiring - Part 2 (this time it's personal). After a busy start to 2016 we need to make sure we can continue to offer the same great service to the people of Portishead that they have come to expect. To keep up with demand we are looking for yet another member for the Mike's Bikes team. We are looking for someone to concentrate mainly on sales and advice within the shop. She/he will make sure every customer who pops into the shop gets the best knowledge and assistance regardless of what they are buying, from an inner tube to that dream bike we all know we want! Knowledge of the bike trade or being a bike "expert" is not required as full and ongoing training will be provided. It is much more important that our new team member is enthusiastic and friendly and looking to help the local cycling community. We are looking for a girl or guy, preferably full time, but as a small shop we are pretty flexible with hours and days worked to suit any circumstance. The job, hours, pay structure and future prospects can be adjusted to suit the applicant, so if you have ever thought of working in the bike trade, give us a shout. We've been waiting for these ones for a while, Gamut's new Podium pedal. Coming in at £110 and weighting just 295g with a standard steel axle (The same as a £200 magnesium and titanium DMR Vault)
