FRIDAY 9th JUNE DRESS AS YOU PLEASE On Friday 9th June we will be having a ‘dress as you please’ day in school. Instead of a monetary donation, we would be grateful if pupils could donate something for the tombola or home bakes. These will be sold at the School Fair on Saturday, with the fair running from 11am – 2pm. Can we ask that any alcoholic or glass donations be handed into the school office by an adult. Thank you for your support.

Just a reminder it will be our annual public May Day holiday on Monday 1st May School will close at 3pm on Friday 28th April and reopen Tuesday 2nd May at 9.00am. On Thursday 4th May, the school photographer will be in school to take class photos. We would appreciate if all pupils could be wearing their Boddam School sweatshirts. Scholastics Book Fair will be in School from the 3rd until 10th May. The school will also be closed on Monday 5th June due to an occasional day holiday.

* Registration Week for Primary 1 is 9th January to 13th January 2017 * All children who reach their fifth birthday by 28th February 2018 are invited to register for Primary 1 for admissions in August 2017. Aberdeenshire Education and Children’s Services has a common starting date for all its school in the middle of August in any particular year. You will be informed of this year’s starting date at the time of registration at school. Parents are asked to visit the Primary school of their choice during Registration Week. If this is not possible, parents should try and visit the school by the end of February 2017. To register for Primary 1, the child’s birth certificate is required as evidence of their date of birth. Aberdeenshire Education and Children’s Services make no provision to admit any children who are five after the end of February, unless that child has previously been registered and has commenced full-time attendance (excluding induction) in a state supported for Forces school and is transferring into Aberdeenshire. In this case, the local authority can exercise discretion. Registration for a nursery or playgroup does not count for the purposes of this exception.

**Change to lunch Menu, Week beginning Monday 28th November** Please be advised that there will be some changes to the lunch menu this week, as follows: Tuesday 29th - Sweet Chilli Chicken and Rice has replaced Mince Wednesday 30th - Baked Potato with Tuna Friday 2nd - BBQ Chicken bites has replaced pulled pork in a bun. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

**St Andrews Day Lunch - This Wednesday** 30th November Just a reminder that this Wednesday there is a change to the lunch menu. Please can we ask that all those who have chosen not to have something off the menu be supplied with a packed lunch on the day. Change of Date Please be advised that the Newsletter that is going home today has an error in the dates for diary section. Please be aware that the in school Christmas Panto of 'Puss in Boots' will now be held on Thursday 8th December in the afternoon.

Poppies will be on Sale daily from Thursday 3rd November. All donations to The Scottish Poppy Appeal are welcome.
