afc orton 4 - 4 premiair Another bitter cold day for our match against premiair reserves yesterday. With only 2 subs we were short of players and went out expecting a difficult match and we got one. After conceding a goal from a corner we were on the back foot but we got an equaliser from a Thomas Bass shot fumbled by the keeper and were back in the game. Then moments before half time premiair went ahead again after a one on one was put past Jason. After half time a couple of changes were made and we looked like a different team, playing our kind of football and controlling the game. Jak Bellamy hit home with our second equaliser with a very well taken shot assisted by Ryan Bloor. We then took the lead shortly after with another well taken goal from a one on one with their keeper. 3-2 up for some reason our form slipped and we conceded again, this time the equaliser going against us. Then after a short corner from them they managed to sneak a sloppy cross/shot into the near post to take the lead again. With tired legs we fought the last 15 minutes and managed to get a goal in the closing minutes from the one and only Lee Knowles after sneaking round the back post to get yet another equaliser. We fought the last couple of minutes to try and knick the win but it never came, but special shootout to Dan Marshall who put in a great performance as always and Ryan Bloor who had a very good game also. Not the best start to the second stage of the season but onwards and upwards from here on. Merry Christmas to everyone and a happy New year.

Afc orton 4 holbeach a 1 Another great performance today saw us progress to the next round in the cup and maintain our unbeaten record to 13. Some excellent shows today from our welsh star Matt Lacey still can’t head a ball to save his life but for a man mountain his control and passing was excellent today and picked up man of the match however there was several other candidates with everything creative today coming through jack titchener 2 goals and a great assist thomas bass does what he always does and ran things in the centre of the park and was great to say after a shakey first half hour the backline was great today and Bradley bloor led the line perfectly as ever. It was great to see the attitudes and behaviours of the player was immense today also aswell as the performance. Onwards and upwards #afc

Afc orton 2 parkside 2 Afc 3-0after pens On a horrible cold day the lads had to work very hard to progress to the semis of the cup today. We took the lead through an own goal crossed in by Thomas bass and battled for by jak Bellamy but the final touch was from a parkside player they then equalised through a very dodgy looking penalty second half parkside had a real go at us and Jason Andrews made some amazing saves a thunder bolt from jakary Bellamy earned us a 2 1 lead only for parkside to fight back again and take the game into a penalty shoot out where Jason Andrew was only beaten once to earn us a massive derby win against orton rivals but a route through to our first semi final it was great to hear how well we defended and battled throughout a tough game. Huge credit goes to management staff Darren hill dean Roberts George and jack titchener who have played a huge part in the great improvements we’re making this year and we’re still undefeated in all cups and league.... huge credit to all 16 of the lads out there today really was a huge team effort #afcsemifinalsundefeatedfamily

Kings cliffs res 2 afc orton 2 Avery tough game today saw us drop our first points of the season. Kings cliffs attach caused many problems and after a good first 20-25 mins we dropped off and let kings cliffs in. Manager dean Roberts quoted a lot of backing out of challenges and a lack of determination in the second half caused many of our problems. In a tough game there was many injuries also which didn’t help but was good to see olek get a start today and bagging himself a goal and jack titchener with the other. There was good performances today though Bradley bloor and jack titchener both played well until picking up knocks Ryan Parrish Toby Evans played well again and goalkeeper Jason Andrews made good saves. We wasn’t anywhere near our best today but a point on a bad day ain’t that bad atall so onto another big cup game next week and back to the norm hopefully #afc

Holbeach a 0 AFC orton 5 A great second half performance secured another very good away win this season In the cup. We started very slowly and was sloppy in the first half and didn’t really deserve our 1 0 lead as holbeach had a lot of good opportunity’s early but Jason Andrews was in fine form today and made many good saves but in typical afc fashion second half we came out the traps and bossed the middle of the park and went away from holbeach quickly 2 more goals for league top scorer jack Bellamy a wonder chip from Ryan sticky Parrish titch got another and Thomas bass got the other also another great performance from Tony Evans earnt him another man of the match vote.

AFC orton 3 premiere res 2 Firstly an all round great game chances up both ends everything a battle and 5 goals. Premiere certainly played there part in this an early goal put premier ahead before jack titchener equalised dan Marshall got through to make it 2 and jack Bellamy scored the 3rd minutes after. Second half we went to sleep and tried to jus close up shop for the win and premier had a right pop at us scoring with 3 mins to go and starting a frantic last few minutes ... a big shout out to the backline who had a poor first half but was very good second and to Bradley bloor for yet another man of the match performance and Thomas bass was another stand out performer but 10 wins from 10 now all competitions and we're very happy with how things are going

needingworth res 1 AFC orton 6 Another great performance against a good side as we progressed into the next round of the county cup. Another hatrick and 2 assists for jack bellamy his game just keeps on improving this year but man of the match actually went to bradley bloor who im told was excellent as he has been all season. Dan marshall had another great game and bagged himself a goal and an assist. The reason for such a good result was the great team effort so give yaselves a big pat on the back all of you. Were going from strength to strength on and off the field and it was great to hear that many of the lads waited with a player to get his car fixed after the game #AFCCUPRUNGOALSFAMILY

Big shoutout to jack titchener who has to be unbelievable to get a write up well he was today with 4 more goals once again jack Bellamys all round play was great creating more than burying this week but still managed 2 more Toby Evans has found out how to score also with 3 goals in his last 4 from right back and the back line with a well deserved clean sheet ... loving the improvements every week lads let’s keep it going
