Pirates to Host Bristol Bears Rugby at Hayle The Cornish Pirates will be meeting up with Premiership side Bristol Bears for a training afternoon at Hayle RFC on Thursday 12 September. Admission is free to supporters with the training action to take place from 1 – 3pm. The timing will also incorporate 3 x 20 minutes sessions when the teams will be in opposition. Director of Rugby Pat Lam and his Bristol Bears squad, who will be camping at Trevedra Farm for a couple of days, are looking forward to the visit. Parking on site will be a reasonable £2, plus there will be a bucket collection in support of Hayle RFC who earlier this summer so very kindly hosted the Cornish Pirates for pre-season training.

Pirates Name Their Team for Redruth For the Cornish Pirates some usefully meaningful rugby action starts on Saturday when they will be participating in a pre-season friendly at Redruth (ko 2.30pm). The visit to the Recreation Ground was to have formed part of a triangular set of fixtures, also involving Camborne, however the ‘Cherry & Whites’ are now unfortunately unable to participate. Admission by £10 tickets, available to purchase on the day, will include entry to the stand on a first come first served basis. The gates will open at 12.30pm, with children under 16 admitted free. From a Pirates perspective the match will provide supporters with an opportunity to see most of the club’s new signings in action. Full Team On The Website!
