Living authentic is hard. Everyone else wants you to fit their mold, even when it doesnt actually "fit". Some will even expect you to live an empty, unhealthy, unhappy life simply because it's easier for them, completely disregarding your value. Many wont understand. You'll be ridiculed, shunned, laughed at, talked about behind your back, and you'll lose some folks along the way. It'll suck; it'll hurt. It'll suck some more. You'll cry, doubt yourself, and be tempted to continue on the same old path because it's easier, familiar, comfortable, and safe. But the same old path will never lead to a different destination. And it isnt actually easier. In fact, it's suffocating. Do you. Be you, the true and authentic you. And if you've been living a false truth for so long that you dont even know who you are anymore, then it's way past time to break free of the prison you're in. You, who you truly are...is enough. It will be enough for the ones who are honestly meant to love you and it will be to little or to much for the rest and that's ok because both options are beautiful, healthy, necessary, and liberating. Social media and any media platform can instill fear in people making the world appear a scary place. Human beings are naturally drawn to drama but remember you are seeing incidents from all over the world from different timelines, making it look like bad things are happening every minute of every day, everywhere. This used to make me feel so depressed and at times I used to think I didn’t want to be part of this cruel world we live in. I now veer miles away from the media reporting only the bad. I seek out the good and it helps me stay positive. I do not allow that little voice to instill fear in me, I say bring it on 💪🏻
