Thank you to everyone dropped their old crisp packets in our recycle bin at Ken’s parkrun cafe. Over 3000 packets packed up, ready to be sent off to be dealt with and not buried in landfill. Thank you and please keep donating.

Well done to the 276 people who ran, jogged or walked up to Silverdale Station and back this morning! Congratulations to the 40 parkrunners who recorded new personal bests. This morning we were happy to welcome 59 runners who had not done The Wammy parkrun before… which means that more than 4,000 different people have now completed the course since we started in March 2018. Many thanks to the volunteers without whom this event would not be possible.

It’s parkrun eve!!! Who’s ready to join us tomorrow at the Wammy? We’ve a full volunteer roster. Ken’s cafe will be open for your post parkrun brew or orange squash. (Don’t forget your empty crisp packets) The weather is PB conditions! See you in the morning for a 9am(ish) start and please follow the parkrun code. Especially the attending the briefing and remembering the barcode bit!! Thank you 😊

The volunteer roster for this coming Saturday is looking good! Thanks to all those who got their names down early. It would still be nice to have a funnel manager and an extra barcode scanner - maybe be a fast runner who has the virtual volunteer app on their phone and could do some scanning after their run? Let us know if you'd like to volunteer for this week or next. No previous experience necessary!
