In August 2012, New Deer Public Hall celebrates 50 years of being the focal point of community activities. A large hall in the centre of the village of New Deer in rural Aberdeenshire. We have a regular programme of theatre shows during the year as well as lots of other activities.

facebook.comToday (18th of August) New Deer Community Association was pleased to be involved in the ceremony to re-name the pleasure park as the DINGWALL-FORDYCE COMMUNITY PARK. Andrew Dingwall-Fordyce unveiled the cairn and plaque, assisted by NDCA Chairman, Mel Keenan. Local stonemason David Ironside, along with his son, Richard, built the cairn free of charge, using stones provided by Jimmy Kindness. The weather was kind, and everyone was invited to the Public Hall for refreshments afterwards.🙂

At the recent meeting of New Deer Community Association, members of the Sewing & Crafts Group came along to present NDCA Chairman, Mel Keenan with a generous cheque for £300. (A half share of the proceeds from the sale of Easter themed knitted covers for creme eggs!)🐣🐰🐥🐇😀

Bohemian Rhapsody being shown tomorrow (Sunday) in the hall at 7pm. Tickets only £5 each and you can get on the door. Ice cream, soft drinks and popcorn for sale before the film starts. Doors open at 6.30pm.
