The Anchor Hotel is a small family run hotel, with bar and seafood restaurant, situated on the A92 half way between Montrose and Stonehaven in the beautiful fishing village of Johnshaven. We specialise in locally caught seafood, all of which comes from Johnshaven or Gourdon daily. We have a restaurant upstairs, which serves seafood specials daily along with a restaurant menu, and downstairs we have a lounge bar which serves dishes from our extensive lounge menu and specials board. We can cater for any dietary requirements, just advise staff on arrival.

We have a curry night every Thursday, where you can get a freshly made curry and a drink (pint, small wine or dash, or non alcoholic drink), all for £8!

We also have a Sunday menu, with 2 courses for £12.95 or 3 courses for £14.95.

The team have all made it to Powmill Milk Bar, some interesting adventures along the way. This is Ewan herding Aberdeen Angus whilst back-pedalling due to crank issues. We aim to make a significant donation toward the Cycle 4 Lucy fund, some of which will go toward the charitable work of SMA Support UK. If you would like to help us achieve this, and to find out about the cycle route, please take a look at the Townhill Family’s fundraising page at https://fundraiseforsma.everydayhero.com/uk/cycle4lucy I greatly appreciate your support. Thanks. Gary.

Dear Anchor Facebook Friends. We are helping family friends raise money toward the purchase of a powered wheelchair for their young daughter who has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). I am joining 28 other cyclists, many of them as racing fit and healthy as myself on a fundaiser bike ride over the next three days; pedalling from Dumbarton to Johnshaven (via Falkirk and then St Andrews). We aim to make a significant donation toward the Cycle 4 Lucy fund, some of which will go toward the charitable work of SMA Support UK. If you would like to help us achieve this, and to find out about the cycle route, please take a look at the Townhill Family’s fundraising page at https://fundraiseforsma.everydayhero.com/uk/cycle4lucy I greatly appreciate you taking the time to consider this and thank you in advance for any support you can.
