To all my lovely customers I am having a “rest”! It is somewhat quiet here on my page due to my having had total knee replacement surgery just over a week ago. Believe me it is no rest. The pain has been indescribable, under better control now with more “happy” drugs. So, the jam pans are out of action for a few weeks whilst I work on getting this knee up to full strength. I do have stock for sale if you want to place an order. Just pm me if you would like your fix of my jams & chutneys.

Preserved lemons with sea salt and spices. Scrape the flesh from the rind and rinse well. The rind has an intensly lemon flavour and is adds such a beautiful to so many dishes. Try it with a roasting chicken or tangines.

You can now buy these delicious, squidgy ground almond biscuits in Cafe Sapori on Guisborough high street. They are flavoured with lemon zest and Amaretto. Also, they are entirely gluten free. They are very moreish and delicious with a cup of coffee or even a dessert wine.
