The Brooke House College Football Academy was introduced in 2008 by Manager Ben Watts. The academy now has over 70 players, aged 12 to 19, from all ethnic backgrounds. 12 players have currently progressed to a professional football career both in the UK and Abroad. The Academy has three teams that play a number of games throughout a season. The Academy plays fixtures in the ECFA League, ESFA Nationals, Central Conference League and Cup Competitions
Weekday mornings at the Football Academy are devoted to: skills training; technical player development; fitness training and physical development; classroom based tactical seminars and examination of match footage under the direction of our team of FA qualified coaches.
Weekday afternoons at the Football Academy see students attending National Curriculum (GCSE/ A Level) academic classes with full-time students from Brooke House College. Students are issued with individual timetables after an interview with the Academic Senior Tutors during which their specific academic needs are identified. Brooke House College is a centre for all major UK examination boards and is inspected by the independent schools inspectorate.
Daily coaching sessions concentrate on all aspects of player development from improving individual technique, positional play and the contribution each player makes to the team.
Player fitness is monitored through individual training plans including a focus on diet and nutrition. Academy players have individual programmes will also include gym work and swimming pool sessions.
The Academy sports therapist ensures the physical condition of all Academy players and co-ordinates player rehabilitation in the event of injury.

Brooke House College Football Academy 3’s 1 - 5 Gainsborough Trinity . Brooke House College were at home in their final fixture of the day against Gainsborough Trinity. The game was a very even contest with both teams seeing a lot of the ball early on. 5-1 flattered the away side who proved to be more clinical throughout the game. Brooke House College Football Academy 1’s 12 - 0 A2B Academy . Brooke House College took on A2B Academy in 12 goal thriller. Brooke house started on the front foot and were more than comfortable in possession of the ball throughout the game. They created lots of chances in the game and were very clinical. It finished 12-0 but the score line could have been higher if it wasn’t for a good display from the A2B goalkeeper. . Fitness testing . With the weather affecting training outdoors for the football academy, we took the opportunity to get some fitness testing done. . It was very busy and hard work for the boys but it all needs to be done. . When the boys finished in the testing they had some down time, but still working their brains, playing chess!
Player of the Month . Today is the first of March which means it was time to announce each squad’s player of the month for February, within the football academy. . The first team player of the month was goalkeeper Clinton. (King accepted his award for him as he was ill.) . Second team player of the month award went to Ignas. . Third team player of the month award went to Chetan. . The u16 player of the month award went to Raghauv. . Four very worthy winners of their awards. Keep up the hard work boys! Well done! 🏆🥇
“CORE... it’s been a tough afternoon in the gym 😰” . If you had already been on the run or were waiting to go on the run, the hard work continued indoors. . A gym circuited monitored by Faz and Adam, a Core work out monitored by Niall and George and Jazz looking after the injured boys doing rehab... . Ash and Istvan had the pleasure of the run in the snow!
Snow joke, yes we are going on a run ❄️ . The Football Academy boys were put through their paces today as they made sure that the snow didn’t stop their progress!!

FA Level 1 in Coaching . After three weeks of hard work 12 Football Academy students finished their FA Level 1 coaching badge qualification. . Many thanks to James, Chloe, Hannah and Steve from the FA, for their hard work to get them through the course and to all of the boys who were committed to learning throughout. . Well done boys! 🙌🏻
Friday afternoon saw Brooke House travel to Football CV in the Central Conference Cup. . Brooke House were excellent throughout the whole of the game but could only leave with a point, the least they deserved... . An excellent performance from the group as a whole. The score finished 2-2. Ibrahim scored both goals after Football CV took the lead, both times against the run of play. . Thanks to our sponsors @nottstrentuni , the kit looks fantastic! 👌🏼
Today was the last training session before ending the term before Christmas and the football academy played an in-house indoor football tournament. . As you can see, it was all smiles for the Ghanaian boys who were the champions 🇬🇭
