Office renovation complete! Enjoyed with a sausage roll and a game of solitaire!

Who likes horses? Who likes wine? Perfect combination! This lovely 4-bottle wine rack utilises used horseshoes, mounted on a strip of dark hardwood. Something a little different, this can be yours for £25. (Please excuse the dusty, empty wine bottles.....for some reason I couldn't find any full ones)

We popped over to Kings Lynn tonight to deliver a pair of bespoke side tables. Made from recycled hardwood parquet flooring, with a sapele edge, we fitted black three-prong 10mm hairpin legs to finish these tables off perfectly. We gave the tops a bit of a sand, but only gently, as we wanted to retain the original marks and features.

A client asked if we could build a gate to a specific size for both security and privacy.....no worries. Built and fitted, the client added a nice dark shade to finish it off.

A lovely 90cm long coat rack with 6 hooks made today for a customer in Spalding.......custom-built to the size requested.

A full dining table and chair refurbishment.... job done! On investigation, the original dining table had been constructed with treated timber (which would have a moisture content around 14%). Once it was exposed to a warm homely environment, the wood inevitably shrunk, leaving 10mm gaps between the slats. So what did we do. We had to completely strip the table down, pull it all together, sand it back to natural, then reapply a stain, and finish with a hot wax protection. We also strengthened the frame by adding corner brackets. And the chairs? We took them apart, cleaned off all the original glue, then put them back together, adding centre spindles to four chairs (which had broken off over time). On delivery, the only complaint we got was that we were too cheap! A very enjoyable project, we'd like to thank our clients for trusting this lovely furniture in our hands, and wishing them many happy years around the table.

A nice simple design for a bookshelf! This was the customer's complete idea and he finished the construction, but he kindly asked if we could 'help' with this, but only because we had the specialised tools to do some certain cuts (shhhhhhh, his wife doesn't know 😉). Very effective, we love the simplicity and the sanded paint finish to it.

Rain doesn't stop us! We delivered this 2.4m table in one complete piece to Southery. As usual, custom-built to the customer's exact specs, this set was built with no back rests. Strapped to the trailer, it got a good wash down prior to delivery! I think the rain added an extra 100kg when we lifted it off!

What a great way to improve some flat pack furniture. These are Argos flatpack bookcases, fitted together, then topped off with a length of stained timber, to make it look like one complete unit.

How do you add £20k to the value of your home? By adding an extra bedroom. This was an extended family/dining room. So we added a stud wall to make it a third bedroom, but allowing enough space for a dining area. We got our plasterer in to finish the wall, then the owners got a coat of paint on it. We just need to add a a few finishing touches. Value before £205k......now on the market for £225k.
