The hi tech way of clamping the linings to the sides for extra area for the top and back to attach to. Also glued little strips to reinforce the sides, to protect lateral cracks in the event of any problems. Don't normally do this but i have 2 Martin acoustics in for repair where they have split all the way from the heal block to the waist. Nasty!

The saga continues. You have to put the braces on in the correct order, or they are difficult to carve. This is where the magic happens to get the sound you want from the finished instrument. Later.........
