Set in a fantastic location enjoying panoramic views overlooking Largo Bay and the Firth of Forth, the Old Manor Hotel is ideally situated as the place to stay for the visitor to Fife. The hotel has 23 rooms - many with balconies offering beautiful views overlooking the Firth of Forth and Lundin Golf Links.
The area has numerous places of interest, including along the road the delightful East Neuk, with its charming coastal villages - Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem, St Monans, Elie. A 20 minute drive from the hotel lies St Andrews, with its golfing heritage and numerous historical sites.
In fact, many guests visit us for the excellent golfing the area is known for - on our doorstep are the championship courses of Lundin and Leven Links, whilst Ladybank, Scotscraig, Kingsbarns and St Andrews are all a short drive away. There are many more courses in the area, to suit all abilities and budget.
Weddings have become increasingly popular at the hotel. We can work with you to plan your ceremony, reception or both with all inclusive packages that take every aspect of your special day into consideration. In addition to hosting wedding receptions our large function room is perfect for conferences. If you are at any stage of planning your wedding or corporate event we would be delighted to talk with you.
The hotel was built as a private residence c 1872 and didn't open as The Beach Hotel until the early 1950's. In the late 1970's the name was changed to The Old Manor. Former private residents included the Russell family, of Tullis Russell the Papermakers, for whom Aithernie was the family home in the early nineteen hundreds. Also the Paxton family – the last survivor willed over a million pounds to MS Research. ‘Aithernie’ remained a private residence till 1949.
