A little bit of information about our fish
Cod, in our experience Russian caught cod from Barents Sea, together with Faeroe Island and that caught in Fishing area 27 of the North Atlantic are the best. All our cod is skinless and boned. In the course of filleting some bones may be missed.
Rock salmon is caught in the North Pacific. It is skinned but contains a large, harmless bone
Haddock and Plaice
Both these fish are predominately caught in fishing area 27 of the north Atlantic and are skin-on and may contain some pin bones.
infomation about the potatoes
The majority of main-crop potatoes used in the shop are 'Victorias' other vatieties such as 'Maris Bards' , 'Premiere' 'Estima' & 'Wilja' are likely to be used late May onwards until the main crop returns. The potatoes are thick cut to reduce oil absorption for healthier eating :)
All our products are cooked in pure vegetable oil. A natural supplement is added to the cooking medium in order to maintain the anti oxident levels of the oil. This means that the product cooks quickly with minimum oil absorbion. Our 100% beef burgers are grilled on a hot plate for a quality end product. The battermix has been especially chosen and is a company secret.
