Staff have been donating to give gifts to people at Christmas time. We bought some festive treats to send to the Salvation Army. An extra boost came from Sainsburys in Union Street who doubled our donation! Thanks to Susan in our Finance team for the organising and present-wrapping.

Latest Affordable Housing Development for Aberdeen Langstane Housing Association Ltd is delighted to add to its affordable housing provision in Aberdeen with the addition of 35 new-build homes at Copper Beech Court, Auchinyell Road, Garthdee, Aberdeen, AB10 7GL. The scheme provides modern one and two bedroom social and mid-market apartments. Centrally located, Copper Beech Court is less than 3.5 miles from the heart of the City. Working closely with the Association, the design team created low maintenance, energy efficient homes that are an excellent addition to the Association’s stock portfolio. The Scottish Government and Aberdeen City Council provided grant funding to assist with the development of the site, Langstane Housing provided the remaining funds through private finance. The site formerly housed the Copper Beech bar and had lain derelict for some time before being regenerated by Langstane. Langstane’s Chairperson, Sandra Macdonald re-iterated the Association’s commitment to social and other forms of affordable housing and commended all those involved with the project. Acting head teacher at local Kaimhill Primary School, Mrs Susie Webster, accompanied by a group of primary six pupils, officially opened the new development on Wednesday 14 December. Helen Gauld, Chief Executive, Langstane Housing Association said “We are delighted that Mrs Webster and pupils from the local primary school performed the official opening service for Copper Beech Court. Community involvement is an important aspect of our work and we were delighted they could assist, especially given their very busy schedule they have at this time of year. ” Langstane Housing wishes their new tenants all the very best as they settle into their new homes in time for Christmas.
