Getting ready for the upcoming season, an eventer in need of more support. The horse has A-symmetric feet (one bigger than the other) and grows high on the outsides of both his front feet. Toe-in conformation. He has very sensitive feet and bruising is seen in various places around the feet. The larger of the two, the near fore, the inside heel had become very weak and starting to crumble away. By use of the frog pads, pressure is dissipated throughout the feet due to frog function, plenty of support given to the back and lateral sides of both feet with the shoes applied and the gel to stop any dirt and bacteria from getting in under the pads as well as extra cushioning for the feet to dissipate any concussion and hopefully preventing bruising. Hope he likes his new wheels 😁👍🏼

Saw this chap for the first time on Friday. Heels under run and an extremely broken back hoof Pastern axis not to mention the laminitis. Dorsal wall and toe rasped back to alignment of the HPA and the heels taken down as much as possible. Heartbar shoes with a rolled toe applied for support and to aid in frog function and to ease pressure and break over at the toe. Needless to say he strolled off much happier than when he came in 👍🏼

First time shoeing this Showjumping mare that was refusing to jump, not great!! After watching her walk and assessing her feet and conformation quite easy to see why. Both front feet really toe in while her limb loads heavily down the outsides of her feet. So to help her out; Much bigger shoe given, with a lateral extension for all round support but in particular the outsides of her feet/limb. The shoes are called roller motion to allow easier break over to help her joints. I've asked the owner since how she's getting on and she is jumping everything put in front of her, 👍🏼

Specially made shoes for a horse today. Due to the horses conformation I have eased the lateral toes on the shoes for an easier break over whilst giving plenty of lateral support for the front feet

Fairly straight forward pair of concave shoes for a horse earlier today, The outer edge of the toes and lateral branches are eased for a smoother break over, great for horses that suffer with arthritis and joint problems, simple stuff but very effective 😉 👍🏼

A horse from today. When I first took on this horse a little while ago he was lame on the left fore. The foot balance was way out and the hoof on the lateral side was completely upright. Since then he has come sound and is used in light work. As you can see from the photos, it is very much work in progress but he has been given a lateral extension so that he gets the support he requires up the outside of his leg so the pressure forces of landing and weight baring are more even. This in turn will bring out the lateral side of his hoof making a nice symmetrical foot surface. Ultimately the horse is much happier on his feet and cheekier than ever 😊👍🏼

Here is a chap from earlier, a handsome endurance Arab with some conformation issues. Two deep stamped nails on the lateral branch of the near fore, to allow me to nail into strong horn to give him the lateral support he needs down the outside of his limb. 👍🏼🐎
