Also excellent for roach, bream and chub, plus large zander have been caught.
Also had waters on the River Trent (at Long Eaton and Colwick) offering superb barbel fishing, and also producing chub, roach, bream, tench, carp, pike etc..
Erewash canal (from Derby Road Lock to Trent Lock, 120 pegs) has been recently stocked with bream, tench, perch, roach and rudd.
Grange Pond has 30 pegs and may be fished by all members for excellent stocks of carp, tench, bream, roach, perch and pike, and Fletchers Pond is available to serious carp anglers on extra payment for restricted number of permits (50 only per year).
A series of competitions are held annually on a variety of waters. These are open to current members - who must book their place for each match with the Match Secretary.

SATURDAY 31 MARCH - GRANGE POND CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING.
GRANGE POND - NEW STOCKS ADDED TODAY (23 MARCH) Approximately four hundred pounds of carp were released into Grange Pond today. All carp, there was a mixture of mirrors and commons with an average weight of just over a pound per fish, the biggest weighing about a pound and a half. This new stock will soon grow on, and ensure that we have a good size range of fish in the lake. The photographs show Dave Kent and Rob Pembridge releasing the fish plus shots of the sample of fish introduced. At present, Grange Pond is still high and coloured (ideal for the new stocks to settle). The pegs remain under water and fishing is restricted to certain areas where the banks are safe.
