PCM is producing this with funding from Equity's Bristol and West General Branch. A 1-day symposium to examine and explore mental health within the entertainment industry. The event is using the hashtag #EAMS19 it is Equity's ArtsMinds Symposium 2019 (hence EAMS19). Its supported by Equity and the ArtsMinds initiative which was set up provide resources to industry professionals to tackle, resolve and cope with mental health distress and its impact on work and life. Keynote speakers Andy Moss from TUC’s UnionLearn will be talking about Mental Health First Aid and Annemarie Lewis Thomas from Musical Theatre Academy about the #time4change campaign “Mental Health Charter for the Performing Arts”. There are two panel discussions, “Support for Mental Health and Well-being” and “Mental Health in the Workplace and in Education/Training”. Highly recommend visiting on a free day. Try before you buy. I have a £25 a month plan. Gives me respite in the city. Its flexible. The facilities are great and owner / co-worker in chief is super welcoming. The free day is an added bonus. It would make a perfect green room retreat (excellent wifi) when touring to Nottingham Theatre Royal or in productions at the Playhouse. The phone booths and meeting room could also be used for selftapes.
