You are not obese but have a belly fat? A new study presented today demonstrates that a build-up of fat around the waist can cause more serious complications than obesity in the development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The study was presented at The International Liver CongressTM 2016 in Barcelona, Spain. Have you ever heard that the stress makes you fat. That s right. I didn t know until many years ago when I had a course on Stress Management, I was amazed to learn how the stress makes you fat around your waistline even if you are as slim as models. These fatty acids travel in the body and accumulate in the waistline and the stress keeps feeding the fat in this area. When it starts in the body, your heart rate raises and all our organs react to it. Well you know when you feel stress right. That is something we practise in daily basis unfortunately. See! the process has started. If you feel this way, you just got to do something vigorous. Deep conscious breathing, go for a power walk, make an excuse to run the stairs up or down, jump around.
