CrossFit isn't all loud music and heavy weights being thrown around. Our NINJA class is a gymnastics/movement based class, designed to improve motor control and body weight drills 💪🏽 It's all well and good being able to lift big numbers with a barbell, but here's a little challenge; 1. How many STRICT pull ups and press ups can you do? 2. How well/easily can you control your body performing the 'flow' in the video? If you're struggling with these two challenges, maybe leave the barbell alone for a while and go through some NINJA training 🤔

Full house for our 5am and 6am STRONG classes this morning 👌🏽 Our STRONG classes involve working through a strength cycle, finished with a short WoD (workout of the day) 😰 This morning saw the team work through Good Mornings, Weighted Lunges and Back Squats, topped of with a little Burpee finisher 💪🏽 (p.s. try to not look at the new artwork - it's not quite finished yet 🙈)

Wimp 2 Warrior Season 2 UK Finale

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttt'sssss tttiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimmmmeeee 👊🏽 40 contestants started the journey together. 5 months of incredible hard work and dedication. 1 month left to leave it all on the line. 6 haven't been able to complete the journey. 34 remain on course to put on the UKs biggest amateur MMA spectacle. Being apart of Ivy is life changing enough 😜 but the Wimp 2 Warrior UK programme takes life changing to another level 👊🏽 Last year it was described as "more than just an MMA show", and "the most emotional sporting event there is" 🙌🏽 Sunday 19 March. It's time.

Deadlift - I prefer the Hex bar Deadlift as due to the weight distribution/centre of gravity I find them slightly safer, less stressful on the lower back and easier to teach to the regular gym goer. ________________________________________________________ A couple of very simple coaching cues, would be to clamp your lats down, stay tight, accelerate into the floor and rip the weight up. ________________________________________________________ You should be able to lift more load with the hex bar, because of the shorter external moment arm lengths in comparison to the conventional Olympic bar. ________________________________________________________ U.K. researchers compared the strength and biomechanics

Quiz
