We're pleased that Michael Gove & Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) have launched a consultation regarding banning pet shop / 3rd party sales of puppies, as we have been campaigning for over 10 years for this. Remember it’s a legal requirement to ensure your dog has a microchip and that your contact details are up to date on the relevant database, for example Petlog. Also, under the Control of Dogs Order 1992, a dog must wear a collar with the name and address of the owner either inscribed on the collar or name plate attached to it’ A dog owner was fined £1000 + in St Helens recently, as they failed to comply with the Microchipping of Dogs (England) Regulations & Collar and Tag law. Don’t take a risk, make sure you dog wears a disk! 🐶

Did you know? Shock collars are still legal in England! This means people can legally electrocute their dogs using an electric shock training device. We need your help to stop this barbaric training method, which causes pain, incites fear and has no place in modern day dog training. You can help us by signing the petition to call on the UK government to ban the distribution, sale and use of any electronic training device across the UK. Sign the petition here: https://goo.gl/QYZhf5 - SHARE this post & tag your friends in the comments section below.
