Clyde Muirshiel is Scotland's largest Regional Park - a great place to easily enjoy the outdoors. The Park is just west of Glasgow, south of Greenock, east of Largs and north of Ardrossan, a great escape to the countryside.

It was nice to see members of Cycle Ayrshire having a picnic at the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre as part of their 40 mile Portencross loop.
Saturday 15th July saw a group of volunteers facing the wind and rain to help the Rangers carry out a Beach Clean at Lunderston Bay. Lots of litter was removed from the beach and recorded. If you would like to take part in a clean the next one is on Sat 16th September from 11am onwards. Hope to see you there.

Six children joined Rangers John and Kathleen in building bird boxes and making bird feeders at the Wild on Wednesday event. All learned how to use hand tools safely. Sawing, drilling and nailing their boxes together. The birds will love their new houses. The nest session is ‘GPS Treasure Hunt’ on Wednesday 26th July. The Clyde Muirshiel Munchkins had fun in the sun yesterday learning about owls. They went along the Greenock Cut trail to find all the native owls in the UK, before playing owly games. The session was finished off with a story book. The next session is ‘Stick Adventures’ on Wednesday 23rd August.
