Westerton Farmers
Description
We aim to educate our likers on the ways of farm life by showing them how we grow our variety of crops and look after our herd of beef cattle. Westerton Farmers is a family run farm based near Laurencekirk in North East Scotland - the Gammie family have been farming here since 1920 when George Gammie Snr moved to the area from near Huntly. The farm is a mixture of arable and Aberdeen Angus cattle, growing Potatoes, Barley, Wheat and Daffodils. In 2002 the family bought Kirktown Garden Centre in Stonehaven - it was after acquiring this business the farm decided to grow a small number of different vegetables and breed our own beef cattle for sale in the farm shop and restaurant at Kirktown.
David Gammie runs the farm, along side his daughter Fiona, whilst his wife Sheila works at Kirktown Garden Centre along with David's brother Jim.

Westerton Farmers were delighted to have Laurencekirk and Stonehaven fire crews visit the farm tonight. Luckily they called us, and the evening was to show them round and help familiarise the team with the potential dangers when it comes to farm call outs. We think you're all wonderful and cannot thank you enough for what you do for the community.
