Just heard today that there is rumour's going about that I've stopped doing my vanman service , it is true that I've had to stop doing dump rums , that wasn't my choice or what I wanted to happen but I had to stop doing dump runs because of the council asking ridiculous prices to get into their dumps , But I can assure everyone that I'm still offering and working at being a vanman in all other ways apart from doing dump runs . If there ever becomes a time when I'm not doing my vanman anymore I will post a status on this page and also on my other page called Billys man with a van service , and also on my personal profile , But I am still working as a vanman , and have no plans at all for stopping being a vanman . so until you see a status posted on my pages please don't listen to any gossip about me not being a vanman , and if your still not sure pm me at my pages or text or call me and ask , thanks a lot , cheers

Hi everyone , I'm posting this status to apologize and explain to everyone why I've not been able to provide a vanman service recently. The differential ( that's the thing at sits in between the back axel and tells the back driving wheels what gear I have selected ) well inside the differential there is a lot of cogs and wheels and bearings and things , and some of these have basically worn and knackered up making the van undriveable . It's a big job to repair it , It involves someone opening the diff up and trying to replace all the worn parts , it's with somone just now who specializes in these types of repairs but he's finding it hard to get the parts because it's a older van , If he can't get the parts to repair it , It means finding another van with the same axel and taking the axel from another van and putting it on mine , both of these jobs either repairing my diff or swapping axels are big and expensive jobs , The other option is getting a different van but I'm reluctant to do that as the big Luton I've got just now is a great sized big van and I've been told that apart from this repair its in really good condition , sorry about the long post but just thought I should explain things and apologize , this was the last thing I wanted to happen as well , thanks everyone , I'll post a status and get back to people once I'm back on the road

Hi folks , I need to post this status to clarify things from my point of view , I am more than happy to help anyone get anything moved , But when it comes to dump or tip runs I'm not allowed to visit the council dumps without paying somewhere in the region of £80 for the one visit which only allows me to dump up to half a metric tonne in weight , if the permit fee isn't paid I can be refused entry to the dump, I wish these rules where not in place , their not my rules their west Lothian councils rules but there's nothing I can do about them, I can't go and say I'm just doing it for a friend the guys at the dump where not born yesterday and they know that I'm a vanman , the only slight way round it is to take the rubbish to Scot waste who are slightly cheaper but it's still £55 plus vat ( about £67 ) plus the weight limit of half a metric tonne still applies , and the minimum payment of £67 applies , so I've got to make this £67 plus I've got to try and do 3 or 4 customers on the one day , to try and cover the dump fee , my fuel, and be left with a profit for myself , so I'm not being greedy , but I have to charge a realistic price to cover the costs and be left with a profit , hope this status had not offended anyone as that is not the intention at all , Thank you
