The Elephant, Woolton.
Description
The Elephant. Established… well, no one really knows. Rumour has it we had a mention in the Domesday book, and if that’s true then there is no doubt that William the Conqueror’s boys would’ve enjoyed a pint here whilst compiling that epic tome. But here we are, ten centuries later and still going strong.
The Elephant is one of those pubs that you feel comfortable in as soon as you walk through the door. A traditional, ‘shabby chic’ interior is enhanced with striking photographic artwork of the local area. For those who thirst we offer a wide selection of world lagers, Cask Marque certified real ales, a hand-picked wine list and an extensive choice of spirits and liqueurs.
And then there’s the food. Served daily from 11am ‘til 8:30pm, our menu offers up traditional British pub fare with a contemporary twist. Our award winning head chef sources locally whenever possible, and our menu changes with the seasons.
So whether you’re taking the family out for Sunday lunch, planning a private function or simply popping out for a cold berry cider in a sun-baked beer garden, the famous old Elephant pub will accommodate all your needs and more.
