facebook.comClub kit Final, final deadline for ordering our club kit is Tuesday 1st May. Give your order AND money to Sylvia. Due to minimum order levels at the supplier and shipping costs we generally only place one order per year so get your order in now for this season! Please be aware that it is a requirement to wear official club colours when taking part in any external competitions. For official club shoots it is only ever so slightly more relaxed but clothing conforming to the colour scheme is required. Please refer to your handbooks for guidance on the club colours. Thanks
A very interesting read for any of you out there considering buying or have just bought a new bow. .... especially you with your shiny new bow Chris Sabatina!!
Our new website is live! Head on over and take a look 👀 . You can do things like, get in touch with us, download score sheets and browse the club history. Novelty Shoot!! To kick off the shooting calendar for this year, our annual novelty shoot will take place on Thursday 26th April. Gather on the field at 6pm, “sighters” will be at 6.30pm. Following his brilliant success with the Christmas fun shoot, Aaron is organising the official novelty shoot. He’s keeping his cards close to his chest so who knows what he has in store for us! A couple of things are guaranteed... apples and prizes (I’m hoping for the chocolate variety). So, come along and find out...🍎🍏
Looks like a fantastic resource... even with the price tag!
Reminder to all Club Members : Our AGM & prize giving is at 8pm on 16th April in the membership lounge at the Athletics Club. Hope to see everyone there!
Happy Easter! 🐣
Our annual clout eggstravagansa took place today, the weather was sunny side up, and the archers were eggstatic oufs and had a cracking time. A plan was hatched to scramble up the clout with an egg hunt with it being so close to Easter. John W (aka the Easter Bunny) is egghausted from having to eggsplain to all the yolks how the eggscelent chocolate egg spot prizes were being awarded. It was a cracking day with all the archers managing to keep the eggstremely bad egg related puns going all day! Some even whisked up a laugh! 😂 We eggstend our thanks to Blundellsands for their eggsample of eggscelent hospitality. They have the best tea and biscuits around! It was great to have the yolks from their club join us. This was so much more fun than being cooped up indoors on such a sunny day! We did not eggspect the weather to be so kind. Congratulations are eggstended to Rod for winning the men’s longbow competition, Aaron for the men’s recurve competition (at last!!). Sylvia had an eggscelent crack at her first clout and took home the ladies recurve title and Dianne took the ladies longbow title.
The address for today is : Blundellsands Archers Spinney Cres, Liverpool L23 8TZ https://goo.gl/maps/FYdgzmHMdUB2 See you all there at 12.30.
A very interesting read. I wonder if anyone would have a problem if I brought a metronome to club nights??
CLOUT The clout shoot for our members has been set for 25th March, venue is at Blundellsands, and all bow types are welcome. Those who have not shot a clout are welcome, as instruction will be given, on the day. We don’t get to do this type of shoot very often and it is a lot of fun and well worth taking part in. More details will be given closer to the time.
