Welcome to Red Cow, a beautiful country pub and restaurant in Leicester Forest East, Leicestershire. We’re the perfect spot for any occasion or escape. Whether you’re looking for a long, lazy lunch with family, or a spontaneous mid-week treat with friends, we’ve got you covered.
Our beautiful pub and restaurant combines the cosy, rustic features of the countryside with delicious, contemporary food and drink.
Our menus change seasonally to offer you the very best, fresh ingredients. And when it comes to refreshment, our fridges are fully stocked with plenty to choose from, including countryside ciders, cask ales, prosecco and carefully selected wines.
Red Cow is named after an old rhyme that goes a little something like this: “The old red cow, which never did low, with coat as soft as silk. Come in, if you please, and sit down at your ease, and taste her nut brown milk".
Today, our pretty pub is a rare treasure in the heart of the rolling Leicestershire countryside, with its charming thatched roof and 17th century character.
As part of the Vintage Inns family, we’re proud of our heritage and welcoming service which ensures you’ll always receive the Vintage treatment. So, sit back and relax while we take care of the rest. The countryside is calling.
