Thanks to the Fletchers who keep replenishing our hanging baskets. They keep dying. Maybe if we watered them now and again?..... We take good care of our animals, but when it comes to plants, we are negligent 🤔
Little Al from Greenfields rescue is recovering well after his operation and has had his wound checked and re-dressed by vet nurse Debbie.
If any of our lovely clients shop at Waitrose in Leek, it would be great if you popped your little green token in the Greenfields Greyhound Rescue Slot. Thanks!

We pulled this twig from down a dog`s nose last week! it was 9cm long!. A Springer called Dan was out on his walk and started persistently sneezing. It did subside a little throughout the day but he was still sneezing the next morning. We anaesthetised him and flushed his nasal passages with saline, looked down his throat but could not see anything. Pat just decided to have a final look up his nostrils and could just see a bit of a twig. He used long forceps, grabbed the end and it just came out in one go! Amazing! Dan is fine now, but still puts his nose to the ground all the time!
1.8 kgs was the weight of the lump!!

Pat removed this rather large lump from a dog yesterday. A ten year old border collie called Sammy. He has had it for years but it started growing and impeded his walking. It was from under his armpit and growing around his chest. We did a needle biopsy and are pretty certain it is just a benign fatty lump (lipoma). We have sent a sample off to the laboratory just to be sure. Sammy is walking around much improved!
