The Courtyard Café is VAT registered No. 296 4192 66 The Courtyard Cafe opened in September 2017 at St John's Hospice. Open to the public, serving home made cakes, freshly ground coffee and a fine selection of hot and cold food prepared to order. Much of the fresh fruit and vegetables are grown on site in our vegetable garden. The garden, along with nearly everybody working in the cafe, are volunteers giving their time freely to support the cafe and St John's Hospice.
All proceeds from our scrumptious cakes, home cooked lunches and freshly ground coffee go straight back to St John’s Hospice.

Have you tried our fish n chip Fridays yet? If not, you are missing out! Open from 10am for breakfast sandwiches and lunch from 11:30am. Be quick, it gets busy!
Don't forget that we are open at weekends too from 10am to 3pm, serving our full delicious menu and daily specials. We really recommend popping in for a family lunch on Sunday to try one of our mouth watering roast bap specials, served with homemade crispy roast potatoes!
Don't worry, we've already got an eye on Easter! Our Courtyard Gift Shop is full of Easter gifts, pop in and take a look! Open 7 days a week. Then relax in the cafe for some well earned coffee and cake!
The Courtyard Gift Shop has some beautiful bags for sale, including these real Italian leather mini crossbody shoulder bags from Vera Pelle priced at just £24 with all proceeds to St John's Hospice. Why not then go an have a cuppa in the cafe while you play with your new bag! Go on, treat yourself... or maybe treat your mum for Mother's Day.

When you pop in for cake, coffee, lunch, or just a catch up with friends, don't forget to take a little wander into our beautiful Courtyard Gift Shop. Lots of unique and beautiful gifts for loved ones... or just for yourself! We also sell greetings cards and gift bags and lots of other things. The gift shop is open every day in our reception from 9am to 8pm.

We are still looking for extra volunteers to come and help out at The Courtyard Cafe. We are holding a recruitment session this Sat and Sun for anyone who might be interested, no obligation. There will tea and cake! Please share with anyone you think may be looking for a rewarding volunteer role with a local charity. Every bite and every sip raised money for St John's Hospice.
The Courtyard Cafe at St John's Hospice is a wonderful place to meet friends, taste some delicious home cooked meals, devour some irresistible homemade cake and help raise money for your local hospice. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 3pm. NEW in 2018, now serving the full, mouth watering menu all weekend, including daily specials! Don't forget to pick up your loyalty card too, for hot drinks.
