BK Fisheries is set in 15 acres of beautiful, tranquil Cornish countryside bordered by the River Hayle. There are 2 lakes which can be enjoyed by Match, Carp and Pleasure anglers alike. BK Fisheries is set in 15 acres of beautiful, tranquil Cornish countryside bordered by the river Hayle. The Fishery has good road and train links from St. Ives, Penzance and Hayle areas and is only
1 ½ miles from the A30.
BK fisheries consists of 2 lakes, Bills and Billy’s.
Billy’s is a very pretty lake of around 1.5 acres. Depths vary from 4 to 8 feet with shallower water running down the middle. The lake also has 2 islands. The lake mainly contains Common and Mirror carp up to 15lb with loads in the 2-6lb range. The lake also holds Bream to 6lb along with Roach, Rudd, Perch and Crucians. The best methods are pole, feeder and waggler and you will catch 1 foot from the bank out to the middle. It is the perfect lake for kids and beginners.
Bills is the larger lake of around 2.5 acres and depths range from 5 to 18 feet with average depths around 10 to 12 feet. The lake holds a massive head of silvers with bream to 12-16lb averaging 4-7lb. There are loads of Roach, Rudd and Skimmers, Tench, Perch and Crucians. The lake also holds carp to 25lb with plenty in the 2-4lb range. The best methods are pole, feeder and slider.
Whichever lake you fish you will not fail to catch!
The fishery is owned by angling entrepreneur Billy Knott. Billy has been involved in the angling industry for over 30 years. Being the countries leading bookmakers on Match Fishing - whether it's Record Fish, National Championships, World Championships etc. - you're sure to have seen Billy plying his expertise and knowledge in the angling arena.
A new building consisting of a tackle shop, cafe and toilet block has just been completed at the fishery. Coaching is also available. The tackle shop stocks many top brands with everything from Seat boxes, poles and rods to terminal tackle and bait.... everything you need for a days fishing is available on-site!
Weekly matches and leagues are held on both lakes. Billys regularly produces match weights over 100lb in the summer and 60lb in the winter. Bills can produce match weights of 50lb in the summer and 30lb in the winter. Pleasure bags on billys often exceed 200lb!

**Result of today’s match on Billy’s pool** We had 11 fishing today, the weather was great but that’s as good as it got for most of us. Not many fish showing at all, anywhere.. But on the plus side, a junior (13yrs old), won the match with 72lb. He told me he had 95% of his total weight in the first half of the match... What a day Jason Hatton has had, he came in at 8am and by 8:15 he had his new pb carp, 25lb 12oz... so he was off to a good start. After that he managed to land 14 more carp!! And he smashed his pb again with a cracking 29lb 2oz common... So 15 carp on a day ticket, with 3 of them over 20lb, not a bad day... Well done Jason, from everyone at bk fisheries...👌🏻🤙🏻💪🏻🤘🏻
The old sea dog, that is Nicky Morse came in yesterday for a 24hr session... He had a good session, he managed to land 6 carp ranging from 9lb up to 22lb 8oz, which he informed me is his new pb.... Well done my old mate, hopefully see you again soon....
