A wee post about Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas. Last year we offered a safe haven for dogs that hate fireworks or get stressed when a ghost turns up at their door! We were pretty full and we had on offer bangers and mash for tea (venison sausage and sweet potato mash) for everyone to celebrate both Halloween and Bonfire Night. It's beautifully quiet here - you can't hear the bangs, whizzes and pops and the dogs sleep through the night peacefully. So, if you'd like your dog to spend some time with us over Halloween and Bonfire Night, give us a shout as soon as you can. On to Christmas. We've got very limited spaces left for Christmas and there will be the usual Turkey Christmas Dinner, Boxing Day Leftover's Dinner and a stocking filled with treats from Santa Paws. New Year's Eve the dogs have a special Hogmanay dinner and a long lasting Pizzle for New Year's Day to munch their way through. We were full last year and this year is proving very popular for Christmas and the New Year, so get your skates on and give us a ring to book! Keitha ❤️

Jeff and I have just sat down after a day's toil down in the kennels and realised that it's our 3 year anniversary of buying QBK. What none of you know is that for the first couple of weeks, I walked around with a bucket, so I could throw up because I was so overwhelmed with what we'd embarked on. The kennels is a very different place to the one we bought - that's for sure! As that great bard Fatboy Slim once penned : We've come a long long way together Through the hard times and the good I have to celebrate you baby I have to praise you like I should… We've still a massive, massive way to go before I'm completely happy but we are continuing to put every penny back into the kennels to continue the quest to make QBK the very best kennels in Fife! This year our money will be spent putting in new flooring in all the kennel blocks. I'd personally like to thank all those wonderful clients that have stood by us, supported us, continue to recommend us and most importantly, let us run riot with their dogs! I so appreciate you all. Today has mostly been spent learning how to administer Doggy First Aid including CPR at a training course. This means if anything happens, I have the expertise to help. It covered a massive range of different scenarios and so I feel very confident this will serve me well, if ever any thing happened to one of the doggy guests. Elaine from Paws and Relax Professional Dog Groomers was there, with 3 of her team - we both didn't recognise each other in "normal" clothes as we are always both working and looking like right scruffs! So, it's true to say every day's a school day at QBK! Keitha ❤️
