West End Hotel
Description
Small Hotel set in a quiet area of Kirkwall close to City centre The West End Hotel was built in 1824 by a retired Sea Captain. Then just 21 years later in 1845 it became Orkney's first hospital.
Today, owners Gifford Leslie and Robert Dawson provide a warm welcome and comfortable guest rooms, each with an shower-only bathroom. The hotel has been refurbished in the past few years and is now fresh and inviting. Cost conscious meals are served in the small restaurant and bar. Fully licensed to sell alcohol, the hotel attracts both visitors and locals.
