This Weekends entertainment Trilogy at Solos Music Cafe begins on Friday evening with Daniel Warrener playing acoustic Rock tunes from 7.45ish till 10pm. (Musicians are encouraged to attend and play a cameo during Daniel's interval). The revelry continues from 3pm on Saturday when Richard Harries and Friends return for a couple of hours of 'Spoken Word' entertainment, music, performed sketches and more. These sessions have proven very popular and we are pleased to have already arranged another date for 'The Friends' in a few months time! We round the weekend off on Saturday evening when The Marie Marx Band from the North Eastern limits of our region continue their tour of The North adding Solos Music Cafe to their itinerary. Admission for this (and indeed all the events of our entertainment trilogy) is free of charge. Do come along and join us to be entertained and for drinks, food or both! Booking is strongly advised. This weekends St. Patrick's Night event is all but sold out which is really pleasing and should mean a great atmosphere with a definite Irish accent to the sounds of Paul, Ussif and their "Summer Brew" on Saturday. Let's not forget Friday though, when Mike Redmond's Acoustic Jukebox returns to play a free admission show. It promises to be an evening of super eclectic music with something for everyone. SOLOS MUSIC CAFE A venue for your private party?? Solos Music Cafe is a nice bijou venue for your breakfast Lunch or morning coffee. By day we serve genuine home cooking and baking made with care and meticulous attention, by us on the premises making it an excellent choice at these times. We sometimes present Live Music for your entertainment, notably most Wednesdays when local guitarist Martyn Potter comes about Noon to provide a ‘Latin’ musical backdrop to your dining experience. Other days Frank may well be around with his guitar depending on his working shifts. A less well publicised arm of our enterprise is our evening Live Music. On most Friday and Saturdays we feature live music from local musicians [and on occasion those from further afield]. These shows are generally free of charge and take place between 7.15 and 10.15pm so why not give us a try? There ARE some exceptions to this ‘free of charge’ policy, so it is always advisable to check by telephone first on Hull 363710.…… Have you ever considered Solos for your private event though!?? We are able to offer you the use of our little ‘30 something’ seat venue and cater your Private event be it…. A Christening, Baby Shower, Birthday Party, Retirement Party, Funeral Reception, Live Music Promotion, Meeting etc etc. Call us on Hull 363710 to discuss your needs and wishes and we should be able to tailor you a suitable package and at a competitive price too! Generally with a large enough group, we can offer free room hire AND with our links and committment to the local Community of musicians, we are happy to recommend and signpost you towards entertainers to make your party swing or [if you prefer] Rock! In such cases we are happy to act as middlemen and negotiate on your behalf but fees for the music will generally be negotiable with the musicians directly. As a rough price guide we can provide menus at a price between £10/head for a hot 2 course meal and £12.50 for a substantial buffet of hot and cold foods, with cheeseboard and dessert to follow. Happy New Year to all our Customers and thanks so much for your support during 2017. We are going to be closed until 26th January for our decoration and maintenance [not to mention Annual holiday!] and look forward to seeing you on our return. The weekend coincides with our fourth anniversary as a business. It honestly seems like "no time at all" On the weekend of this landmark we have live music on the Friday evening from 'Urban Rain' with 'Street life' playing the Saturday night. We're hoping to feature some music across the lunchtimes too. Please come and join us for what will be some top drawer, free live music.
