Sorry for following rant :- Isn't it amazing to see so many "Pro Tyers" these days? I myself tie up to 6 days per week i can tie most modern patterns and some old classics and have sold hundreds of flies on the Web - but i still wouldn't class myself as a "Pro Tyer" - what does this expression mean? and if you hold down a full time job 5 to 7 days a week outwith fishing - how can you still class yourself as a "Pro Tyer" ?? - if you only tie for a few hours a week ? - For example i would class the likes of Marvin Nolte, Davie McPhail, Roman Moser as "Pro Tyers" some of the people i see on the Web and in the Fly fishing press declaring themselves as "Pro Tyers" - i dont think so ! Anyway sorry for the rant!
