“We’re hiring! What we ask: - Flexibility (so we can all take holidays, and work around our life admin) - Weekend availability is a must (worked on rotation, so we’re not working every weekend...unless you want to work every weekend of course!) - Experience preferred (but not essential for the right, fast learner) - 16 +/- hours per week - Excellent customer service standards- polite, positive language, and the ability to make conversation with strangers (they won’t be strangers for long- our customers are lovely) - We run a tight ship, we have to, it’s tiny, more of a dinghy, so you must be efficient and able to clean as you go - Once trained, you will be working solo for a few hours each shift, but with all that talking to strangers and prioritising your workload, the time will fly by - Capability to handle cash and card payments, as well as cashing up on each Close shift. - Opening/Closing key holder responsibilities, including stock taking - We’d love someone who can stick around for a while In return: - A part time role, as part of a friendly team, in a cafe with a lovely atmosphere - 3-5 +/- shifts per week - Hourly rate @ minimum wage to start. - Food hygiene certificate - Devon Coffee Company barista training - Apprenticeship opportunities - Scope for progression Shift patterns: 9-2 or 11-5 Mon-Sat, and 10-3:30 on Sundays Suit student, freelancer, 2nd job, parent...”
