LAST FILM OF THE SEASON! This Saturday it’s our AGM and last film, Maudie. You can watch the official trailer on YouTube. Hope to see you there.
Thanks once again to the lovely Caroline McCornick and her team for a wonderful flavourful meal at Saturdays theme night for the film Victoria and Abdul. Entertaining film with some laugh out loud moments as well as a serious side. Our AGM and final film of the season is Saturday 5 April. The film Maudie will start after our usually short AGM! See you there.

Another successful event for Machars Movies Matinees on the Move. The Pheasant Sorbie opened especially and provided us with a delicious meal and as usual great service which was super impressive as they managed a virtually full house just the two of them! A big Thank You to Andrea and Morag. The film was Murder on the Orient Express with Kenneth Branagh playing Poirot. I had seen it before but enjoyed it even more the second time around! Our next and final MMM on the Move is on Saturday 9 March at Whauphill Village Hall. The film is the classic, The Ladykillers staring Alec Guinness. Afternoon tea will be served by the kind people of Whauphill Hall between 2 and 3 pm. Film will start at 3pm promptly.
A huge a THANK YOU to all the splendid people of Monreith village hall for a marvellous lunch and added bonus of tea and cake after the film! A nice easy film with good company. A very lovely way to spend a cold February afternoon. Moving on to this Saturday we will be at Sorbie village hall for another Matinee film. A special pre theatre lunch is being prepared especially for us by The Pheasant Sorbie, however if can’t make the film but fancy the lunch you would be welcome to join us. Details are a few posts down! Booking advisable.
