Betty's Boarders
Description
Re-habilitationg & re-homing rescue cats in/around the Ipswich area. (Suffolk, UK) At Betty's Boarders we take in & look after many cats that have had a tough time of things & have nowhere else to go. Once they have been assessed & are ready for re-homing we look to find them loving, safe homes in/around the Ipswich area. We will home up to approx 20 mile radius (30 minute drive) of Ipswich, but do prefer to keep the kits close by incase any support or back-up is needed).
We work with a few local cat rescues as well as independently, sponsoring/funding many of the kits in our care.
Betty's will have around 30 kits in our care at any one time. Currently we have 8 resident cats, (all rescue of course).
Betty's also works with several cat rescues/welfare groups overseas in Romania, Turkey, Spain & Egypt, that focus on looking after local strays & feral cats, feeding them, giving them emergency vet care & working on TNR (trap neuter release) projects. When we can we will offer a foster placement to cats from overseas to give them the chance at the life they deserve.
Betty's is not a cat "rescue" as such, but we are completely devoted to providing our fosters the the love & care they need while they are with us & before sending them onto their new families & the lives they deserve. If you would like to donate to help the cats in our care, you can donate via Paypal using bettysboarders@outlook.com - Thank you.
A "Betty" is an old East Anglian Colloquialism for a female cat, as a "Tom" cat is well known to be a male cat. So "Betty" is our figurehead, the "Auntie" who takes in the kits that need her & give them the love & care they need until they find their forever homes.

MEET BO <3 Beautiful Bo (Boudicia), has just come to stay with us at Betty's. A sweet, affectionate little purr-monster, 10-12 years young. She has come into rescue as she was not happy living with 3 yappy little dogs that kept chasing her, to the point where she was living on top of the kitchen cupboards. She got on well enough with the other resident cats, but is not keen on the other cats here in the cattery. We see no reason why Bo could not live with well mannered children, but do think after living in such a crazy home for so long, she does now deserve to retire to a nice, calm home where she can relax, & enjoy a little bit of peace & quiet. She has lived mainly as an indoor cat, but we are sure she would like some access to a safe outside space once she is settled. Vet checked, chipped, flea/worm treated. If you think you could offer this gorgeous little lady the home she deserves, or have any questions, please pm us. Home check & adoption donation apply.
These gorgeous little boys need to be homed together. 18 weeks old (end March), they have been with us since they were 5 weeks old, having been born in bushes to their lovely Mum who had been living as a stray. The boys are still a little silly with strangers, giving a little warning hiss, but after 5 minutes will be purring away enjoying neck & chin rubs. Due to their backgrounds & characters, we will not home them with young children. Over 12's only who will be happy to give the kits the time & space they need to settle into their new home in their own time. We would want all pairs to have a sanctuary room (dining room/bedroom/etc), to settle in and get used to their new people & surroundings before being allowed to start exploring the rest of the house. Chipped, neutered, flea/worm treated, these gorgeous boys are looking for a loving home in/around the Ipswich area. They will require access to a safe outside space once settled & big enough, so we will not home near busy roads, or as indoor cats If you have any questions, or think you could offer one of our gorgeous pairs the home the deserve, please PM us. Home check & adoption donation apply.
*** BO UPDATE *** Our gorgeous girl Bo went to the vets today for her wellness check & to be chipped. We will not get the results of her blood tests back till next week, but are not overly concerned at this point that she has any health issues. She was such a good girl, & you can see, she was keen to see what the vet was typing! Bo is such a sweetheart, a real love bug, who is happy to be cuddled & loves being fussed. Looking for a quiet home to enjoy her retirement. If you have any questions, or think you could offer her the forever home she deserves, please get in touch.

*** BEAU & BELLE - FOR ADOPTION *** Gorgeous Beau & Belle, such a sweet, gentle pair, patiently waiting for someone to fall in love with them.
<3 MEET OLIVIA <3 ADOPTED Olivia arrived with us shortly after Tom & Jerry & has been int he cattery with them since she arrived. When she arrived, she was scared of her own shadow, & didn't like other cats at all, but she has grown into a really sweet, affectionate girl & totally adores her brothers Tom & Jerry. While we know it is unlikely, if there is anyone out there with a heart as big as the moon, we would love it if Olivia could be adopted with her "brothers".
Sapphire, is a sweet, gentle, loving, Chocolate/Cream Siamese looking for a new family to love her. Very sadly due to ill health, Sapphires owners have had to move into accommodation that would not allow her to go with them & she is currently living in a cattery. 11 years old, Sapphire is in good health. she has full health records, and is chipped, neutered, vaccinated. She is very friendly and loves cuddles. Like all Siamese she likes to talk. She also likes to play with her toys and her scratching post. We see no reason why Sapphire could not live with well mannered children, but is used to a quiet adult only home. Due to her age, we would expect owner to take out insurance & enrol Sapphire on a monthly pet plan with local vet, which we would expect on all our cats anyway to ensure all future veterinary costs are manageable. If you think you could offer Sapphire the home she needs, please pm us. Home check & adoption donation apply.
These gorgeous little bundles will soon be ready to go off to their forever homes in mid-Feb. 6 gorgeous little boys Hugh, Pugh, Barney, Cuthbert, Dibble & Grub. We will be homing them in pairs as below. HUGH & PUGH (2x ginger/whites at front of picture of 4 kittens) BARNEY & CUTHBERT (2x black & white in picture together) DIBBLE & GRUB (light ginger/white & black/white at back of picture of 4 kits) The kittens were born to a lovely cat wo had been living as a stray for a while. They came to us on Christmas eve at approx. 5 weeks old. All totally wild, looking super cute, but with the attitude of tigers. All wide eyed & hissy, spitty little balls of fluff. All the kittens are still very shy & silly with strangers, so will take time to settle into a new home, but we are confident with a little time & patience they will become loving family members. Due to their backgrounds & characters, we will not home them with young children. Over 12's only who will be happy to give the kits the time & space they need to settle into their new home in their own time.
