I am an experienced dog walker living in the Insch area. Originally from Banchory, I lived in Cyprus for 5 years, and moved back to Scotland in April 2013 with my dog and 6 rescue cats.
Before moving to Cyprus, I started up www.leadondogs.com in Glasgow, which is now owned and run by my friend Natalie.
Over the last 4 years I have rehomed 13 dogs and cats from Cyprus to the UK, all of which have been badly abused, abandoned or starved. 7 of these live with me, and the others with family or close friends, so I can still visit them. The Deeside Piper has written two articles on some of the rescues - you can read them in the photo album.
I have experience in a busy Veterinary Clinic, a Cattery, in a Bird and Animal Park, and volunteered in various Cypriot animal shelters.
So, if anyone would like their dog cared for in Insch or Inverurie, then get in touch. I can provide proof of insurance and references from previous pet owners. As well as all my 5* reviews on this page.

Gosport four-dog walking limit comes into effect - BBC News
Why I will only walk a MAXIMUM of 3 dogs at a time (and the 2nd and 3rd are more often than not my own), and why I agree with Gosport's four dog walking limit; It's not usually a matter of whether the dogs can be controlled - but almost always a matter of, can the person approaching control THEIR dog? Is their dog off lead with limited recall? is the dog reactive? Does it feel intimidated with a 'pack' of dogs in sight? etc etc . I don't believe someone can control 4+ dogs safely factoring in outside influences. (However, if the dog walker has their own private and secured area/land, then that's a different situation). Furthermore, it doesn't matter how well behaved the dogs are but if there is an accident or a dog suddenly gets ill, how are you going to care for the others as well as the poorly one? How will you get it safely to the car/van and then onto the vet? I also think that dogs being walked deserve some individual attention and like children have differing needs. You wouldn't let a single teacher out with 10+ young children on their own, so how is it different with dogs? When choosing a dog walker, just ask yourself whether or not there is a possibility that the walker sees it as profiteering more than general care for the dogs. Look after your pets, people!! ✋
The Police are now saying if you see a dog locked in a car in hot weather, take a picture of the dog and the car. If someone is with you, get them to bring up the weather for your area on their phone so you can screen shot the temp, then break the car window. This way, you will not be charged with criminal damage and it gives the police photo evidence to take the dog owners to court. Can everyone please copy and paste this information to prevent this cruel act from happening? Summer is coming!l 🐶🐕 Don't let animals suffer!
