Our final stop yesterday was a surprise visit to the home of Jeanette & Pat. These lovely people make our day every time they come shopping. Our second stop was to St. Ronan’s House care home to surprise Carolynn. Carolynn was nominated by our staff because of her tireless work at the care home, with Walkerburn Mothers & Toddlers group, the local school (and not forgetting her 4 kids). I took our Team Manager Nadine out today to deliver some Christmas surprises to the people of Innerleithen, little did she know that we were actually heading to her mum’s house first. Nadine has always spoken about Georgie is an inspiration to both her and the community. Despite being a double amputee since the age of 17, she has always helped anyone and everyone, and at the age of 72 (sorry Georgie 😏) still volunteers at the RVS lunch club amongst other community activities.
